Why one-to-one Stress Reduction Coaching?

One-to-one stress reduction coaching offers the benefits of our stress reduction courses in enabling and motivating you to reduce your stress levels through the teaching and practice of cognitive and meditation techniques. However, we understand that group sessions do not suit everyone and that some people benefit more from the more individually tailored and deeper approach that one-to-one coaching and psychotherapy offers.

How many sessions should I have?
A minimum of 6 sessions is recommended initially, followed by further sessions as required, and agreed between the client and therapist.

How long is a session?
A session lasts for 50 minutes.

What happens in a typical session?
Sessions vary but generally involve teaching and practice of stress reduction techniques, including relaxation techniques and meditation, as well as an opportunity to discuss how you can put these techniques into practice in your day-to-day life. We usually look at subjects such as how thoughts and perceptions affect our stress levels, general awareness, healthy breathing and mindfulness. We also strongly encourage you to purchase one of our relaxation cds to practice with at home, as this is the quickest way to reduce general stress levels.

How much can I expect to pay for a session?
We charge £20 for an initial assessment, and £40 per session thereafter, depending on circumstances.
